Ultrasound

Our little no name is doing good. We did our ultrasound and 23 week visit today. He appears to be doing just fine. The fetal echo did not show any problems. The DR said that pulmonary stenosis was nearly impossible to detect on US though. His current weight was approx 1 lb 4 oz and measured out right on with his dates. He is currently in the breech position soooooo he better turn around. He has plenty of time though. I was really excited to see the 3D/4D imaging. I think he has a nose similar to Jeff. AWWWWWWW.

He is nuzzled up to my placenta!

As for me. I am starting to feel much better. Nausea has pretty much subsided, although his moving is a little sickening(especially when I am already on the edge). My complaints now would be that my pubic bone feels like it is splitting. At about 8hours into my shift at work I start to have a hard time walking down the hall. Frankly, it hurts so bad I want to cry. I also am having a hard time sleeping through the night. I pretty much I am up from 2am-5am. Weight gain to this point is 9 lbs. I hope to not get past 20 lbs, however I really enjoy desserts right now so I might exceed this limit I have placed on myself.
Aug is right a round the corner. I have a feeling this one will come sometime between 36 and 37 weeks (Aug 2nd to Aug 9th). This is just a feeling. I will be ready to kill someone if I go past my due date.
Lots of Love.

Just 1 month of growth!

Can you believe how fast these little miracles grow. Just about one month since the last scan Laura did and I am just blown away. I am now almost done with the first trimester and thank God for that. Hopefully the next one will include a lot more energy and a lot less puking.

Today is a good day!

So far so good today (knocking on wood). Hope it will continue that way. So far my doc visits have been great. I am scheduled again for 2/27. This time we should be able to hear the baby on a doppler. I plan to bring Jake this time so he can hear too.

Today has actually been a pretty good day. Started out kind of crappy but has since been much better. I feel like I could get something done today. That is if I can stay awake.

Here We Go Again

It has returned...reared it's ugly head...Morning Sickness. Or in this case, all day sickness. On top of dealing with this cold everyone has been fighting I get nausea and vomiting along with good old body aches. Luckily I was able to secure some meds from our doctor to help ease this a little. It's weird that I can be so STARVING and then when I eat, I just feel sick. I hope this will pass soon. 1 more week until my 1st doctor visit(actually a lab visit). Today I went and saw a movie. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I slept through the first 30 minutes or so. I guess I was tired.

Is the secret out?

The day of the big bowling party half my secret was revealed. By that I mean my sister Mandie put a couple things together and found out we were trying to conceive. I tried to wiggle my way out of it but I am not a very good lier. Apparently it all started on Christmas Eve. Mandie used the master bedroom bathroom and discovered my boxes of prenatal pill samples the doc gave me. I got rid of our positive pregnancy tests, but missed that little detail. Then while at Dave and Melissa's house, my uncle Dave kept asking over and over again if I was pregnant. The reason he was asking was because an Aunt of mine Margy, is knitting a blanket. Every time she is knitting, someone is pregnant. Mandie notice the look on my face and put the two together. The funny thing is that she really doesn't know everything. She only thinks that we are trying, not that we have already succeeded. Why are we keeping this all a secret? Well.. Jason and I said from the beginning we wanted to try and keep it to ourselves until after our first appt. This way no one can jinks us by saying "it's twins". It really has been fun too.
